The accident happened around 7:40 a.m. on the southbound side of State Route 99 near Clark Road. A beige Cadillac and a second vehicle described as either a minivan or an SUV were involved in a collision for an unknown reason. The impact was enough to block both lanes of the highway.
At least one person suffered major injuries in the accident and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene immediately. The condition of those involved is unknown, and the accident remains under open investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
