YUBA CITY, CALIFORNIA (February 15, 2017) – A bicyclist was killed in an accident on Wednesday morning on Onstott Road near Pease Road, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened sometime before 4:00 a.m. on East Onstott Road and Pease Road. A bicyclist, identified only as a 77-year-old man, was struck by a hit-and-run driver, allegedly driving either a 1980s or 1990s GMC pickup. The vehicle then immediately fled the scene after the accident. Tragically, the bicyclist was declared dead at the scene by responding emergency medical personnel.

Police still searching for the hit-and-run vehicle and driver. The accident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
