WOODLAND, CALIFORNIA (December 24, 2016) – A wrong way collision killed at least one person on Saturday on the 505 Freeway, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 1:00 am on the northbound side of the 505 Freeway near Highway 16. An unidentified vehicle was seen traveling at a high rate of speed, going the wrong way in the northbound lanes of the 505 Freeway. The car then collided with another vehicle, and caught fire.

Paramedics responded, but tragically one person was pronounced dead as a result of the accident. An investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
