WOODLAND, CALIFORNIA (January 18, 2017) – Two people were injured when a big rig blew over on the 5 Freeway near County Road 22, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened on the southbound side of the 5 Freeway near County Road 22 (Also known as Highway 16 or Main Street). A big rig carrying two people overturned allegedly due to high winds in the area, and ended up dangling over the guard rail.
Emergency responders rescued the driver and passenger of the big rig, and their condition is unknown. The accident remains under investigation, but high winds are believed to be a contributing factor.
