The Woburn Library, located off Cummings Park Drive, is currently under renovation. On Tuesday morning, a subcontractor employed by W.L. French Excavating was working under the building when he was involved in an accident, which may have involved a large rock or boulder.

Despite rescue efforts, the man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation by the state police, OSHA, and Woburn officials at this time.

“Sadly, there are no words that can comfort all family members and friends as they cope with such tragic loss,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm. “Our thoughts and prayers are with all parties affected in this tragedy as they try to piece together what happened.”
