The accident happened around 6:45 pm at the intersection of Old Redwood Highway and 3rd Street. 22 year old Pedro Alvarez Martinez was struck by a Dodge pickup as he crossed within a marked crosswalk.

Pedro Martinez was left with serious injuries after the accident, and was rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The driver remained at the scene and authorities are attempting to determine cause and liability.
