“Fatal Accident ”
WINCHESTER, CALIFORNIA (December 23, 2016) – Elizabeth Vera and Joan Hoffenberg were both killed in a tragic accident involving four vehicles on Friday on Highway 79 and Domenigoni Parkway, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 9:51 am at the intersection of Winchester Road (Also known as Highway 79) and Domenigoni Parkway. 54 year old Reynaldo Rivera was driving a Nissan Titan northbound on Winchester Road when he attempted a right hand turn onto Domenigoni Parkway. Reynaldo Rivera failed to negotiate the turn and hit the concrete median, then rolled and struck a Chevrolet Blazer, a Honda Accord, and a Chevrolet pickup truck.
The driver of the Honda Accord, 31 year old Elizabeth Vera, and the driver of the Chevrolet Blazer, 61 year old Joan Hoffenberg, were both pronounced dead at the scene. Reynaldo Rivera and a passenger were both taken to a hospital. Bradley Hasseler, the driver of the Chevrolet pickup truck, was uninjured. The accident remains under investigation, but initial reports indicate Reynaldo Rivera may been traveling too fast.
