William Bradehoft, 43, Killed in Collision on Grand Avenue near the American Legion Post

“Motorcycle vs. Car Crash”

LAKE ELSINORE, CALIFORNIA (July 23, 2017) – 43-year-old William Bradehoft of Riverside was involved in a vehicle collision on Grand Avenue across the American Legion Post in Lakeland Village near Lake Elsinore Sunday evening, according the California Highway Patrol. (map)

The collision occurred at approximately 9:20 a.m. Bradehoft was riding a 2005 Triumph motorcycle travelling southbound at a high rate of speed when the driver of a 2006 Mercedes-Benz, later identified as 64-year-old Wayne Campbell, pulled out of the American Legion parking structure making a left turn onto Grand Avenue. The motorcycle was unable to reduce speed and collided into the front driver side door of the Mercedes-Benz, according to CHP.

Both the Mercedes and the motorcycle caught fire. The Mercedes-Benz continued to travel and hit a fence across from the American Legion post.

Both Bradehoft and Campbell were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the a CHP and Riverside County Coroner’s Office press release.
