“Fatal Car Crash”
MADERA, CALIFORNIA (February 8, 2017) – 86-year old Wilbur H. Olson and 83-year old Lloyce Olson were killed in an automobile accident on Avenue 14 and Road 19, according to the California Highway Patrol (map)
The tragic collision occurred at approximately 10:00 am, when the driver of a 2008 Ford F-350, identified as 61-year old Guadalupe Gonzalez, traveling eastbound on Avenue 14 struck the 2007 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Olson, who was stopped at the stop sign at the Avenue 14 and Road 19 intersection.
Sadly, Lloyce Olson, was pronounced dead at the scene. Wilbur Olson was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The Olson’s were identified as husband and wife.
Witnesses of the crash told police officials driver Wibur Olson pulled out in front of Ford F-350 that was traveling at 55 mph. Gonzalez could not react in time and crashed into the passenger side of the Crown Victoria. CHP do not believe that alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision.
