The accident happened around 3:48 am near the intersection of Mines Boulevard and Duchess Drive. A female pedestrian was struck by a car and injured, and the vehicle that struck her immediately fled the scene.
The pedestrian was rushed to a hospital in unknown condition. The accident is being handled by the Santa Fe Springs division of the California Highway Patrol, as they attempt to find the hit and run driver.
