WESTMINSTER, CALIFORNIA (January 2, 2017) – A fatal crash occurred on Monday, at approximately 11:18 a.m., on the corner of Beach Boulevard and Madison Avenue. (map)
The accident occurred when a convertible traveling north on Beach Boulevard collided with a Toyota Avalon that was attempting a left turn onto Madison Avenue from Beach Boulevard. The impact of the crash sent the Toyota Avalon into the building of Boulevard Florist.
Both the driver and passenger of the Toyota, identified as Kimmy Hua and Khoa Truong, both in their 70s, were fatally injured in the accident. Sadly, Truong was pronounced dead at the scene. Hua was rushed to a local hospital, but was later pronounced dead.
The other driver, a female in her 50s, was also taken to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
Police are still investigating the accident to determine liability.
