WESTMINSTER, MARYLAND (October 17, 2017) – 4 people were killed in a wrong way head on collision on Route 31 on Tuesday afternoon, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 2:10 pm on Tuesday on Route 31 near Old New Windsor Pike. A deputy traveling west on Route 31 spotted an Infiniti traveling east at over 100 mph. He turned around, but was unable to prevent an accident. The Infiniti was traveling east on eastbound 31 at high speeds when it clipped a car, crossed the centerline, and collided with a Mercury Cougar head on.
Three people from the Mercury Cougar were all pronounced dead as a result of the accident. The driver of the Infinii was also killed in the accident. The investigation is ongoing at this time to determine cause and liability.
