WAVERLY, NEBRASKA (November 30, 2017) – A pedestrian was struck by a train and killed on Highway 6 on Thursday afternoon, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 1:40 pm on the tracks that run parallel to Highway 6 near Amberly Road. A man in his 20s and 30s was walking alongside the tracks when he was struck by an eastbound BNSF train.

The man was tragically pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability. Lexton Law is still receiving information on this accident, and will update this article accordingly.
