“One Dead and Two Injured”
WATSONVILLE, CALIFORNIA (February 11, 2017) – California Highway Patrol reported a fatal rollover crash late Saturday morning near Silliman Road and Vanoni Road. (map)
At 11:42 a.m., CHP received a report of a vehicle rollover crash located in a nearby field, involving three people. A 60-year-old Watsonville man and two male passengers were ejected from a Willys CJ Jeep, as the driver over-corrected a hairpin turn on the long driveway leading from his house to Silliman Road, according to the CHP.
Sadly, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. One passenger suffered head trauma and was airlifted to Natividad Hospital in Salinas. The second passenger was taken by ambulance to Natividad. CHP is investigating the accident to determine the cause.
