WATSONVILLE, CALIFORNIA (April 3, 2017) – Two cars were involved in an accident on San Miguel Canyon Road on Friday morning, according to a California Highway Patrol report. (map)
The accident happened around 7:07 am at the intersection of San Miguel Canyon Road and Apricot Lane. A white sedan and a black sedan were involved in a collision for an unknown reason. The black sedan went into the ditch and caught on fire. The driver of that vehicle fled the scene on foot.
At least one person was injured in the accident, and an ambulance responded to the scene. The accident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability, and to find the hit and run driver.
