WALNUT CREEK, CALIFORNIA (January 20, 2017) – A woman was hit by a car near Treat Boulevard and Arkell Road and hospitalized on Friday, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 9:00 am at the intersection of Treat Boulevard and Arkell Road, near De La Salle high school. A female pedestrian was struck by a car that was allegedly moving at a very low speed.
The pedestrian complained of pain after the accident and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. The accident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability.
“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California pedestrian accident and personal injury law firm.
