VISALIA, CALIFORNIA (February 16, 2017) – A man was killed on Thursday morning after his car crashed into a semi-truck on Houston Avenue near Ben Maddox Way, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 12:00 a.m., when an unidentified vehicle collided with a semi-truck on Houston Avenue, between Ben Maddox Way and Cain Street. The impact was enough to send the car beneath the semi-truck’s trailer, wedging it underneath. The driver of the vehicle tragically was pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency medical personnel.

The accident remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability at this time.
