VISALIA: DUI Accident Injures Three on Ben Maddox Way and Douglas Avenue

“DUI Crash”

VISALIA, CALIFORNIA (January 23, 2017) – A drunk driver was involved in a solo vehicle rollover collision that injured three people including a child on Ben Maddox Way and Douglas Avenue in Visalia on Monday, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened on Monday evening at the intersection of Ben Maddox Way and Douglas Avenue. A drunk driver with two passengers in her car was driving northbound on Ben Maddox Way when she lost control of the vehicle and it flipped over.

The female passenger and the infant inside the vehicle were both rushed to a hospital in unknown condition. The driver was identified as Rene Lomeli. Rene Lomeli was also injured in the crash, but was reportedly in stable condition and was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. The accident remains under open investigation.

“It’s unfortunate that motorists under the influence disregard the negative effects that may ensue from driving under the influence. Drunk drivers continue to endanger the safety of all other drivers and passengers,” said the attorneys from Lexton Law Firm, a California car accident and personal injury attorney.
