“Two Vehicle Crash”
VINA, CALIFORNIA (March 17, 2017) – Three people were involved in a two car accident near Corning Friday afternoon on South Avenue and Rowles Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. (map)
The collision occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. 23-year-old Samantha E. Bobadilla was traveling eastbound on South Street in a 1990 Acura Legend, the same time a 1996 Honda Civic traveling on Rowles Road, driven by 19-year-old Roman B. Lozano. Lozano failed to stop at the intersection and collided into Bobadilla. Extrication methods were used to free Bobadilla and Lozano from their vehicles, while the passenger, 20-year-old Raynante Robinson Jr. was able to exit the vehicle on his own.
The three victims of the collision were transported to Enloe Medical Center for treatment of the injuries. Bobadilla sustained major lacerations to both knees and Robinson Jr. sustained a possible fracture to his left shoulder, according to CHP Officers. Lozano sustained compound fractures to his left and right ankles. CHP indicated that drugs and or alcohol were not factors in the accident. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
