“Head-On Highway Crash”
HESPERIA, CALIFORNIA (February 23, 2017) – Two people were injured in a head-on vehicle collision Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Hesperia Road and Cherry Hill Drive, according to the Victorville Sheriff’s Department. (map)
The accident occurred approximately after 2:00 p.m., when a male driver of a gray Ford Taurus traveling southbound on Hesperia Road, changed lanes and entered into the left turning lane while approaching the intersection. He then collided into a gray Chevy Avalanche driven by a male driver traveling in the northbound lane of Hesperia Road, according to Victorville Sheriff’s Station Deputy Mark Chavez.
The passenger of the Ford Taurus was helped out of the vehicle by rescue officials. The driver of the Ford Taurus sustained moderate injuries. Both driver and passenger were transported Valley Global Medical Center for treatment of minor to moderate injuries. The two males who occupied the Chevy Avalanche did not sustain any injuries. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
