VICTORVILLE, CALIFORNIA (March 18, 2017) – At least one person was killed in a two car accident on Air Expressway and Phantom West on Saturday, according to a local news source. (map)
A silver Ford Mustang convertible and a white Ford Explorer were involved in a collision at the intersection of Air Expressway and Phantom West around 2:15 pm. The Mustang reportedly sustained heavy driver’s side damage and the Explorer had front end damage and overturned. Initial reports indicate the Mustang was attempting a left turn when it was struck by the westbound Ford Explorer.
The driver of the Mustang was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger in the Mustang was airlifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The driver of the Ford Explorer sustained minor injuries in the collision. The accident remains under active investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
