“DUI Investigation”
VICTORVILLE, CALIFORNIA (February 4, 2017) – Angel Barranco was tragically killed by a drunk driver on Saturday morning near Amethyst Road and Mojave Drive, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 1:45 am at the intersection of Mojave Drive and Amethyst Road. A 2002 Hyundai sedan driven by a 56 year old man driving under the influence of alcohol failed to stop at a posted stop sign and t-boned a 2015 Honda Accord on the driver side.
The driver of the Honda Accord, 35 year old Angel Barranco, was tragically killed in the accident. 25 year old Barbara Velasco, Angel Barranco’s wife, was injured in the accident and was rushed to the hospital, and is reportedly 7 months pregnant. Barbara’s mother 42 year old Monica Alarcon was also hospitalized after the accident.
The driver of the 2002 Hyundai was identified as 56 year old Alexander Delapaz-Perez. Alexander Delapaz-Perez was arrested for gross vehicular manslaughter and for driving under the influence of alcohol. The investigation is ongoing at this time, but initial reports indicate Delapaz-Perez already had two DUI convictions.
