VICTORVILLE, CALIFORNIA (December 29, 2016) – According to the Victorville Fire Department, a 29-year-old motorcyclist was struck by a car on Thursday on Mojave Drive near Amargosa Road. (map)
The VFD reported that a Kia sedan, driven by a female motorist, was traveling northbound on Amargosa Road about to make a right onto Mojave when it collided with the Kawasaki motorcycle around 8:40 a.m.
The VFD states that the 29-year-old motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with road rash injuries.
“Motorists must be aware of motorcyclists on the road at all times. They may not always appear in rear view mirrors and often end up in blind spots causing drivers to completely miss them, creating potential for a possible accident,” said a California motorcycle accident and injury lawyer.
