VERNALIS: One Killed in Accident Involving Semi-Truck on Highway 33 near Spencer Road

VERNALIS, CALIFORNIA (December 28, 2016) – A fatal collision was reported on Wednesday evening on Highway 33, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 11:38 pm on Highway 33 near Spencer Road. A Hyundai collided with a Peterbilt truck for unknown reasons, causing one car to catch on fire.

At least one person was pronounced dead at the scene, reportedly the driver of the Hyundai. The accident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability.
