One Dead After Peterbilt Truck and Hyundai Sedan Collide on Highway 33

VERNALIS, CA: Semi-Truck Involved in Accident on Highway 33 at Spencer Road

VERNALIS, CA – A fatal crash occurred between a Hyundai vehicle and a Peterbilt truck, according to a report by the CHP. The accident occurred on Highway 33 at Spencer Road at around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2016.

According to the CHP report, the Hyundai vehicle and the Peterbilt crashed into each other, but how the crash occurred is not completely clear yet. One of the vehicles caught fire due to the impact, and it is not certain which vehicle caught fire first.

An ambulance and emergency crew were called to the scene of the accident in order to attend to the injured victims. Paramedics reported that the driver of the Hyundai was no longer responsive. The victim was declared dead at the scene of the accident. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

The accident is still under investigation.
