The CHP reported that Miranda-Montoya was traveling northbound on Highway 33 at a high rate of speed around 11:35 p.m. when she lost control of her 1999 Nissan and crashed into a 2012 Peterbilt truck, driven by 24-year-old Victoriano Cortez, that was traveling southbound at 55 mph.
