CHP Investigating Traffic Accident

VENTURA, CALIFORNIA (December 14, 2016) – At least one person was injured Wednesday morning in a multi-vehicle collision at Day Road and Telegraph Road near Ventura College, reported the California Highway Patrol. (map)

According to the CHP report, the crash occurred at approximately 7:50 a.m. and involved four vehicles near Day Road and Telegraph Road.

Preliminary information revealed a pickup truck had struck the passenger side of an SUV, trapping a woman inside. Two other vehicles were also involved in a crash, however it was considered to be minor.

The woman had to be extricated from the SUV which sustained extensive damage. The woman was transported to Ventura County Medical Center with moderate injuries.

The paramedics at the scene examined two other injured parties however they were not transported to a hospital.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
