VENICE: Pedestrian Killed in Hit and Run Accident on Venice Boulevard and Venezia Avenue

“Ongoing Investigation”

VENICE, CALIFORNIA (January 12, 2017) – A pedestrian was killed in a tragic accident on Thursday morning on Venice Boulevard and Venezia Avenue, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 2:00 am in the 600 block of Venice Boulevard near Venezia Avenue. A pedestrian was struck by a driver who subsequently fled the scene.

The pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead at the scene and the investigation is ongoing at this time to determine cause and liability, and to find the vehicle involved in the accident.

“According to experts drivers are responsible the majority of the time for pedestrian accidents. These collisions occur when drivers are careless and fail to yield in a crosswalk or when they turn right on a red light without looking out for a pedestrian,” said a California pedestrian accident and personal injury lawyer.
