VAN NUYS, CALIFORNIA (March 13, 2017) – Two automobiles were involved in a crash on Stagg Street, east of Van Nuys Boulevard Monday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. (map)
The injury accident was reported at approximately 2:17 p.m. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene to find two vehicles at the 16900 block of Stagg Street. One of the vehicles was found on its side next to a light pole. A female occupant was trapped inside the vehicle. Firefighters used extrication methods to free the victim of from the vehicle.
The occupant of the vehicle sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital from treatment of those injuries. The driver of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital as well for treatment.
The identities of the victims of the collision have not yet been released. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
