“Fiery Building Results in Injuries”
VAN NUYS, CALIFORNIA (August 9, 2017) – A 4 story garden-style apartment building went ablaze at 7400 Sepulveda Boulevard. Wednesday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. (map)
Firefighters responded to the fiery building located on 7400 Sepulveda Boulevard between Cohasset Street and Valerio Street. at approximately 10:39 a.m. Smoke was found in one unit on the 2nd floor a 3 story apartment complex over a parking structure. 95 Firefighters were able to quickly put out the blaze, according to the LAFD news source.
A 45 year-old male sustained burns to his body. however, the severity of the burns are unknown at this time. Another victim sustained smoke ventilation.
No further injuries were reported. an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause and liability of the fire.
