VALLEJO, CALIFORNIA (December 16, 2016) – Samantha McKinney has been identified as the victim on life support after she was hit by a car on Tennessee Street, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 6:00 am on Tennessee Street in Vallejo. Samantha McKinney, a 28 year old woman, was crossing the street inside a marked crosswalk when she was struck by a minivan.

The impact threw Samantha McKinney over 50 feet, leaving her with grave injuries. She was rushed to a trauma center, where she tragically was declared brain dead and remains on life support. The investigation is ongoing.
