Samantha McKinney, 28, Hit By Minivan, on Life Support After Suffering Major Injuries
Samantha McKinney, 28, a mother of three children, was seriously injured after she was hit by a minivan Friday on Tennessee Street. At around 6 p.m., McKinney was hit by the minivan that was being operated by a male driver who was driving eastbound on Tennessee Street.
The sheer impact of the crash thrust McKinney’s body 50 feet ahead of the minivan, causing her severe injuries. McKinney had to be airlifted to a trauma and emergency center where she went in for immediate emergency surgery. She was determined to be brain dead shortly thereafter and had to be placed on life support. The minivan driver was cooperative with investigators and remained at the scene of the crash. A
A GoFundMe page has been created by Michelle Caudillo to raise money for medical costs and funeral expenses if she passes away.
The minivan driver has not been charged thus far. It is not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in this collision.
