SHAFTER, CALIFORNIA (December 29, 2016) – Marcelo Diaz has been identified as the man that was killed in an accident on Santa Fe Way on Thursday, according to local news sources. (map)

The accident happened around 7:30 am on Santa Fe Way near Burbank Street. A silver Honda Civic swerved in order to avoid traffic, and entered the path of an oncoming black Ford Excursion, causing a collision.

The driver of the Honda, Marcelo Diaz, was tragically confirmed to have been killed in the accident. The driver of the Ford remained at the scene and cooperated with local authorities.
