CERRITOS, CALIFORNIA (March 11, 2017) – Three people were injured and two people were killed in a collision on the 605 Freeway on Saturday, March 11th, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened just after 1:00 a.m. on the southbound 605 freeway, near the interchange with the 91 Freeway. Six cars were involved in a crash for unknown reasons. A man driving a 1999 Saturn and a passenger inside a 2007 Honda were both killed.
32 year old Ulises Rodriguez was driving the 2007 Honda and was seriously injured in the accident. Also inside the Honda were 30 year old Yenit Esquivel Rivera, who was suffer major injuries, and 24 year old Gabriela Hernandez, who was killed. Amy Johnson was driving a 2016 Honda that was involved in the accident and suffered a sternal fracture that left her with major injuries. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
