TYLER, TEXAS (July 13, 2017) – Two people were killed in a small plane crash near the Tyler Pounds Airport on Thursday, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 8:00 am on Thursday morning. A Piper PA-31 took off from the Tyler Pounds Airport with a pilot and at least one passenger. Shortly after takeoff, the plane crashed for an unknown reason near the Pleasant Retreat center off County Road 1145.

At least two people have been confirmed to have been killed in the crash. The exact number of people on board the plane is unknown at this time. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
