TWENTYNINE PALMS, CALIFORNIA (February 9, 2017) –A dirt bike rider was killed in a head on collision on Thursday night on Amboy and Chadwick Road, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 6:11 pm at the intersection of Amboy Road and Chadwick Road. A white pickup truck was heading eastbound on Amboy when the driver entered the westbound lanes to pass a slower vehicle, and collided head on with a westbound dirt bike.

The rider of the dirt bike, identified only as a male, was tragically pronounced dead in the accident. The accident remains under investigation at this time to determine cause and liability.
