TULARE, CA (January 20, 2017) (Map) – Injuries have occurred following a crash that occurred between a semi-truck and an SUV on Highway 99 and Paige Avenue.
The crash occurred at about 4:45 a.m. on Friday morning. According to the police report, a semi-truck was pulling a trailer, and collided with a Ford Expedition. The semi-truck then overturned, hitting a tree while the trailer being hauled also overturned- causing a hazard to occur in the slow lane of traffic.
Meanwhile, the SUV smashed through a nearby fence. The number of injured people is not immediately available. Emergency crews, Caltrans, and paramedics arrived at the scene to assist those injured and clean up the accident scene. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
