TRACY, CALIFORNIA (May 12, 2017) – Sroeuy Khin has been identified as the man killed in a tragic accident on the 580 Freeway on Friday morning in Tracy, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 7:10 am on the eastbound side of the 580 Freeway near Grant Line Road. Off-duty Sheriff’s Deputy Sroeuy Khin was returning home after working a 12 hour shift at the Santa Rita Jail, traveling eastbound on Interstate 580. He was rear ended by a bus carrying Tesla employees, heading to their facility in Stockton.
50 year old Sreouy Khin, who was one day away from his 51st birthday, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of the accident. The incident remains under active investigation to determine cause and liability.
