TORRANCE, CALIFORNIA (July 5, 2017) – A woman was attacked by a dog and injured on 216th Street in Torrance on Wednesday, according to a local news source. (map)

The attack happened around 12:30 pm in the 1600 block of W. 216th Street in Torrance. A woman was reportedly attacked by a dog, and responding officers shot at least one dog at the scene.

The woman was rushed to a local hospital in unknown condition after the accident. The investigation is ongoing to determine who owned the dogs and why they were being allowed to run free in the Harbor City neighborhood.
