Three Injured after Plane Crashes into Rainer Trails Park

ENUMCLAW, WASHINGTON (July 27, 2017) – A small plane crashed into a park just after take off and injured three people on Thursday night, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 9:00 pm in Enumclaw, Washington. A small Cessna 172 had just taken off from the Enumclaw Airport when it crashed into nearby Rainier Trails Park, almost hitting a playground.

Two of the three people on board sustained critical injuries, and one sustained moderate injuries. The two with critical injuries were airlifted from the scene to Harborview Medical Center. The FAA and the NTSB are both on scene, and the FAA has confirmed the plane was not currently registered. The investigation is ongoing.
