THOUSAND OAKS, CALIFORNIA (January 10, 2017) – At least one person was trapped inside their car after a collision on Highway 23 on Tuesday, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 12:28 pm on Highway 23 near Avenida De Los Arboles. A white sedan and a red Toyota 4Runner collided for unknown reasons, blocking several lanes on the freeway. One of the vehicles overturned as a result of the accident.

Responding medical personnel were able to extricate one person who was trapped inside one of the affected vehicles. The condition of those involved in the accident is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
