TETERBORO, NEW JERSEY (May 15, 2017) – Two people were killed in a small plane crash near the Teterboro Airport on Monday, according to a local news source. (map)
The plane, described as a Learjet 35, was en route from Philadelphia to Teterboro. Around 3:30 pm local time, the small plane crashed about a quarter mile from the airport, as it was on approach to Runway 1. The plane crashed into a group of warehouses, sparking a large fire.
Both the pilot and the co-pilot were both killed in the crash. There were reportedly no passengers on board the plane at the time of the accident. The crash remains under open investigation by the FAA and the NTSB at this time.
