EAST BAY, CALIFORNIA (March 1, 2017) – A 78-year-old woman, identified as Teresita Cerbas, was killed in a tragic pedestrian accident on Willow Pass Road on February 27th, according to a local news source. (map)

Two cars were involved in an accident near Loftus road around 7:00 p.m. Teresita Cerbas, a family member of someone involved in the accident, began walking towards the collision site when she was struck by a car heading westbound on Willow Pass Road near Seasons Road.

Cerbas was tragically pronounced dead at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. Initial reports indicate alcohol was not a factor in the accident, which remains under investigation.
