TEMPE, ARIZONA (February 12, 2017) – At least one person was killed in a collision on Sunday night on US 60, near Loop 101, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 11:55 p.m. 22-year-old Valencia Rivera was driving a silver SUV when she was involved in a collision with a pickup truck. Rivera’s vehicle then struck the concrete median and rolled over, ejecting Rivera. Responding emergency medical personal tragically pronounced Rivera dead at the scene.

The condition of the driver of the pickup truck is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
