TANNER, ALABAMA (February 18, 2017) – A man was killed in a workplace accident on Saturday afternoon at the Carpenter Technology Corporation, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 3:00 p.m. at the Carpenter Technology Corporation in Tanner. 55-year-old Robin W. Kimbrough, a contracted security employee, was operating a Bobcat Utility Task Vehicle when it flipped over onto him for an unknown reason, trapping him beneath it.
Decatur Fire and Rescue were able to remove the Bobcat from on top of Kimbrough, but he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the accident is ongoing to determine cause and liability at this time.
