YOLO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA (April 9, 2017) – Two drivers were killed in a head on collision on Sunday when their cars collided on Interstate 5, according to a local news source. (map)
Around 9:45 am on the southbound 5 Freeway, a Mitsubishi driven by 51 year old Tammy Ketcherside attempted to change lanes and struck another vehicle. The impact sent the Mitsubishi into the northbound lanes where it collided head on with a Dodge driven by 67 year old Kathleen McBride.
Tammy Ketcherside and Kathleen McBride were both tragically pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the Dodge sustained major injuries, and their current condition is unknown. The accident remains under investigation to determine cause and liability.
