SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA (March 6, 2017) – Tajahnae Jones and Ronald Filetti have been identified as the two people killed in a crash on Highway 79 near Gilman Springs Road on March 2nd, according to a local news source. (map)
Two vehicles, identified as a Prius and a Honda, were traveling southbound on Highway 79 near Gilman Springs Road at a high rate of speed. The Honda suddenly made an abrupt lane change, striking the Honda and sending both cars off the road and down an embankment, overturning and coming to rest on their wheels.
The driver of the Prius, identified as 46 year old Ronald Filetti, and his passenger 26 year old Tajahnae Jones, were both tragically killed in the accident. The driver of the Honda, identified as 21 year old Sherydan M. Teaney, was rushed to a hospital in unknown condition. Witnesses say the two vehicles appeared to be racing, but the exact details of the accident are unknown at this time. The incident remains under active investigation.
