SYLMAR, CALIFORNIA (February 21, 2017) – A female pedestrian was struck and killed by a car on Tuesday evening at the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Glenoaks Boulevard, according to a local news source. (map)
The accident happened around 6:35 p.m. A female, identified only as a Hispanic woman in her 40’s, was crossing the street inside a crosswalk when she was struck by a car. The driver fled the scene and possibly dragged the woman about 100 feet from the crosswalk. Tragically, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still searching for the hit-and-run driver. The investigation is ongoing at this time to determine cause and liability.
