The SPD reported that the vehicle crashed into the female pedestrian around 6:09 p.m. while she was on El Camino Real. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the SPD. The pedestrian woman was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
“The conventional wisdom is that the pedestrian always has the right of way. This is not always the case and creates a dangerous situation. Many pedestrian deaths and injuries can be avoided by both drivers and pedestrians being alert and cautious,” said pedestrian accident Attorney .
