An unidentified man died after a fatal big rig crash on Highway 12 in Suisin City, California.

SUISIN CITY, CALIFORNIA (January 10, 2017) – A car and a semi-truck were involved in a fatal head on collision on Highway 12 on Tuesday afternoon, according to a local news source. (map)

The accident happened around 2:58 pm on Highway 12 near Lambie Road. A white Toyota Tercel was heading eastbound on Highway 12 when it veered over the center divider for an unknown reasons and collided head-on with a semi-truck. The impact was enough to eject one person inside the sedan, and cause the semi-truck to begin smoking.

The male party that was ejected was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency medical personnel. The investigation is ongoing to determine cause and liability.
